Over the recent years I have observed a culture shift in many Western churches.
Many church members today view the church like a cruise ship when it is actually a rowboat! That is, as long as my personal/family needs are met, and as long as programs are in place for when I want to attend, and as long as I feel satisfied when I leave the services which I choose to attend – then all is well.
But don’t ask me to come too often, or to help plan the programs, or to staff the needs or, to put it another way, to help row the boat!
